У гереони фильма есть проект - убить пятерых мужчин, которые причастны к смерти ее мужа.
Фильм в целом о целеустремленности, и о верности цели. Перекликается с "Убить Билла", но только здесь последнее убийство не приносит облегчения, и нет счастливого конца, есть завершение проекта.
Героиня не хладнокровна и ей не чуждо сомнение, она просто решила все довести до конца. Между ней и четвертым мужчиной появляется что-то теплое, мужчина влюбляется, но она возвращается к своей цели. Чтобы убить пятого мужчину ей нужно попасть в тюрьму, где он сидит, и она добровольно сдается полиции за предыдущие 4 убийства. Пятое убийство происходит в тюрьме, проект завершен.

Жанна Моро делает эту роль особенной, преображает фильм своим присутствием, фильм не только рассказанная история, но и эстетическое произведение.
